Hi Petar,
So far I have received on regular mail the official letter of admittance to the LLM and some additional information about living in Amsterdam: The Practical Guide to Student Life in Amsterdam (you can also find it on the UvA website), a leaflet on Dutch Language Courses (see www.intt.uva.nl), one about the Insurance Passport for Students and two about students associations (www.isn-amsterdam.nl and www.asva.nl). I hope this is helpful.
See you there!
Tanya,
Do you have the contacts of all the Bulgarians coming to Amsterdam?
I am asking because I have found out that I am sharing the house with one, named Radsotina, and I would like to contact her in advance.
All the best,
Ioana

Yes, I guess we are all meeting September 1st:)
As for ISN intro - I would guess it is similar to the faculty intro, but (from my experience in Utrecht) is good fun and really a great place to meet people! So I would definitely say it is worth going. Also, the faculty intro is a bit more official, more about the faculty and schedules and administration stuff and ISN is just about meeting people.
As for the internet, my housing info says that I have internet access. Otherwise if you check out the properties on De Key website, it also says which ones have internet access. I am quite sure there is internet access at the faculty, at least in the library!!

Hi, Ioana,
yep, I know Radostina, not in person, but still. You can contact her on radostinanedeva@yahoo.com. I am sure she will be happy to hear from you. If she does not answer quickly, keep in mind she is on her honeymoon :)
See you all in two weeks.
Blossom, you are guys happy with the internet connection included. In Stavangerweg we have to arrange the internet ourselves. Any ideas? I've found 5 phone & internet companies in the Netherlands, and guess how surprised I was when I find out that neither one of them had their web sites translated into English. I believe there will be many students that would like internet access in their rooms, so we will arranged it somehow :)
Best regards,
Tanya

From what I remember, Plantage Muidegracht is in the centre. I think there is also a student dorm there, maybe that's it. In any case, good location.

Hi eveyone!
Does anyone of you know which documents we should send together with the registration form. Do we have to send the confirmation of admission (copy or the original?)of the Dean and also our last diploma (for example law degree)? I refer to Nr. 4 of the registration form.
Thanks.
Greetings
Tina

Hi Tina,
i got registered on friday and you do have to give original copy of confirmation of admission. I didnt require to give my last copy diploma - there was a box that the women ticked in for that........basicall dont worry about it, they help you fill in the registration form here at the desk.........i know where the uni is....so its no problem showing you around, anyway your next door, im 313, just knock the door,
i'll be out in the morning on the 23 August 2006, but i should be home by 3/4pm - so we can meet then!!
by the way our flats dont have a washing machine...........i still need to figure out where the laundry is?
you'll read in the other message posted to Ivana, about what i think about our accommodation,
see you soon

Hi Guys,
I currently have MVV problems. Ms. Annemarie Piloo informed me via e-mail that my MVV has been granted by the IND. Unfortunately, when I try to picked up my MVV at the Dutch Embassy in Jakarta, they telling me that they have not received any information regarding my MVV.
It seems that my arrival to Amsterdam will be delayed. Is there anyone facing the same MVV problem?

maybe in Jakarta visa rules are more strict but getting your visa should not be a problem. You just need to call to the embassy/consulate, tell them that your application has been approved by IND, your name, your birthdate, when they say that everything is fine (it should be so) you have to come with visa application, your recent picture and copy of your passport.

Hello, everybody,
If there is any female with MTEC scholarship who prefers to live in Stavangerweg instead in Goudriaanstraat.? Stavangerweg is private room, private kitchen and private bath and it is 3.7 km from the Faculty. I prefer Goudriaanstraat despite the fact that we will be three people there sharing the apartment. I believe that if we want to exchange, it is possible as long as we arrange everything upon the arrival. I am flying on 29th and will be in Amsterdam in the afternoon.
Anybody interested can contact me on: tanya_yaneva@yahoo.com.
Greetings
