I am interested in the above course at de montford university. Did anyone else take this programme? I currently practice in construction law and am looking to try to shift focus and work in a government agency or charity and thought this may be the most useful course - has anoye else used their LLM to make a career switch?
Thanks

I would not encourage anyone to apply for an LLM program at DeMontfort. I had a very negative experience with them.

Vermont law school is now coming out with a completely online LLM in this subject. There are now a ton of law schools with new aba online programs. Americas Legal bookstore in sacramento has a guide book detailing it.

I recently studied for an LLM Business Law at DMU by distance learning. I found the tutors very helpful and supportive, and I would certainly recommend the course to others.

I am a solicitor(Ireland) and attorney at law (New York). I have worked in energy law in South Africa and am thinking of doing an llm in environmental/energy law either at Dundee University (CEPML) or Catholic University Leuven. Does anyone know which course is better/ in terms of recognition/ course content or are there any other Masters programmes either in the US or in Australia that I should consider?

The programme at Dundee is probably better known. It has close ties with the oil companies operating out of Aberdeen and several of the faculty are advisors to the EU on energy issues. I took two LLM courses at the CEPMLP and found them excellent though I was actually pursuing my LLM in Edinburgh.
Best of luck.

I have the same doubt! I was admitied in both energy law programs and I don`t know what to do. Leuven is certainly cheaper and a better city than dunde (in the middle of europe) but I believe that the program of Dundee coukd be better, but almost the double of expensive.
Any halp for my decision?
Regards.

I have studied at both dundee and leuven. I have friends who have done the LLM in energy and environmental law at leuven an they all say it is ok.....though dundee in terms of reputation and general regard for the LLM is better
