Hi guys,

I would really appreciate some help here. I did my LL.B from UK in 2003 and then I did my Bar in 2004. After that I came back to my home country (Bangladesh) and got myself admitted to the Bangladesh Bar Council and have been practising here ever since.

Now, I wish to move to Canada (unfortunately, I can't apply through the skilled workers requirement, as I believe they do not list lawyers under the newly published list). Hence I suppose my only option is to go to canada as a student and then take advantage of the Canadian Experience Class to get the PR. (However, the Canadian Experience Class requires a mimimum of a 2 years degree).

My question is how do I fall under the 2 year thing? I do not want to do a JD. And I don't think there are any 2 years LL.M ( am I right?). I can apply to the NCA and based on their recommendations, can I take courses in a university? would these courses cover 2 years? Also then would it meet the requirements of the Canadian Experience Class? I realise that these are more visa related queries, but I am really stumped!

Another thing, I have read in this forum that one can give the NCA challenge exams in India. Would I, being a Bangladeshi, be able to go to India and give these exams?

What other options do I have guys?
