Australian Law graduates to sit in NY Bar Exam - NEED HELP

Hi I am Australian (common law) law graduate who is going to start LLM in NY state in coming fall.

Can someone please provide me with information (required procedures) to sit in NY Bar exam?

Someone said we should apply for eligibility 1 year prior to the actual exam date...

Can someone please help?
