I've applied for the CFL as well as the General LLM, but I haven't received any intimation regarding either of them. Any clue on what does this mean?

I'm a law Student from University of Mumbai.
1) I've heard that only the last year and its aggregate count as your actually marks, is that true?
2) Planning to do LLM in Intellectual property law (IPR) at NUS
3)Got 61% in my second last semester and the last sem I hope to get similar or better marks..
4)I expect my result to arrive by the month of July-august, so when can i apply for the course?
5)At around 61% aggregate, what are my chances to get through?
Thanks for your time. awaiting your reply!

Has anybody got offered for IBL or IPR?!
Posted Apr 04, 2015 11:45
@Skanda
There seems to be no activity post 2nd of this month, primarily on account of I think it being a log weekend there. Hopefully, more intimations would roll out starting Monday, when work resumes at NUS

Hi,
To answer your questions,
1.application process opens up on the 1st of October and closes on the midnight of December 1, however, it's best to regularly check the NUS graduate program website in the event of any changes.
2. As far as chances are concerned, NUS like all universities would probably like to have a mix of experienced and freshers as their students for the LLM, however, it boils down to the strength of the competition posed by other candidates vis a vis your experience, grades, letter of recommendations, achievements both in the field of law and outside and your statement of purpose, if you write one as in NUS it's not mandatory to provide one.
3. Lastly, in continuation although good grades are of course helpful, they by themselves are not the sole criterion for admission, although a 60+ aggregate is pretty cool. Further, as regards the first question you've posed, it's best to write them an e-mail and enquire as there is no such information (as suggested by you) available on the program website to support your suggestion.

Hi there,
I am currently a final year law undergraduate (expected to graduate with high upper second class honours) and have applied for Corporate & Financial Services Law as my first choice and Maritime as my second.
However, I am still waiting to hear from them. I am wondering if the fact that I've had no work experience (besides internships), will have an adverse impact on my application?
Thank you

hey indhu just fyi, I am myself a final year undergrad as well without any relevant work experience or internships whatsoever. My current university also doesn't have an honours system and I've already been offered a place for CFL last week! Thus I would say don't fret if you've submitted a strong enough application (SOP, LORs etc) as NUS would still consider applicants you and me alike!

Hi @vicescapade,
Thank you! Just woke up to an offer letter by NUS for Maritime Law :D
On a separate note, does anyone know if we can choose to switch from Full-Time to Part-Time?

@indhu,
There must be something stated about it in your offer letter or the welcome letter received as attachments by you. If not, then best to mail them and enquire

Really surprising that there's only been a solitary update the entire day as regards an offer of admission. So as an earnest request to all those who have received any updates, please do share so that all of us can stay in the loop and connect with people subsequently, if so required for any related matters. At the end of the day the objective is to assist each other. Cheers and good luck to those still waiting for an intimation from NUS.
