Hey everyone,
Even though I'm not enrolling for the current year, however, I thought I'll update everyone for their own benefit that I received a mail qua college green application a few hours back (as I had already applied prior to taking a decision as regards enrollment) informing me that I've not gotten through their hostel accommodation and that the situation might change post 12.05.2015 (being the second round) for which I'll be accordingly informed and that I need not apply for it again.
Hope this helps for all those waiting for their reparative outcomes as well as for those searching don alternative accommodation.
Cheers

I received a rejection letter too from College Green. Hoping the other hostel applications don't end up like this.

Disappointed to see you will not be joining Pulkit, hope to be of help to you next year if you choose. Thanks for the group, has helped all of us and more.

The very best!

@SS88,
Thanks a ton bro for those words, really appreciate it and likewise hope to remain in touch with you as well as others so that I can seek your assistance while assessing the viability of enrolling for the next academic year. However, it's not too much trouble I would appreciate it if you can just drop me a PM with your mail id etc so that it remains easy to stay connected.
All the very best for your stint at NUS and hope that it's a fulfilling one. Take care and cheers

Can we just pool in...I guess most of us will not get through campus accommodation and finding an accommodation from a distant place seems like a tedious task . Should we tighten our belt and start searching? Any leads or help is most welcome!

@lawyer widt law,
Bro there are plenty of HBD options available which are within the 600-800 SGD per month bracket, or else you can always look for condos though they would roughly (on a conservative estimate) be double the cost of the former. Just browse through a few sites like "ST properties" and "key location" and you'll find plenty of options within a feasible budget and within a comfortable distance from the campus. You can always go through the several links I had provided as regards alternative accommodation in one of my previous posts and search from there. Lastly, there is a FB group/page for NUS accommodations for 15/16 and so you might wanna check that out as well and connect with other members on the group/page, who might be looking for alternatives themselves.
All the best for the course bro and of course for the housing search, cheers

most likely LLM Grads Hostel application is Unsuccessful and so is mine. As Pulkit has made it very clear for all of us to look out for the HBDs, then why not 15-16 batch just club together n search for the accommodation, m for CFS and all together we can go ahead and share the flats.

UHMS says appeal result will be out by 07 July. After that there is no scope left except for outside accommodation.
Pulkit has already done d deep survey and his advice will be beneficial. Correct me Pulkit if m on a wrong foot.

@kaju,
As far as having done a lot of research/survey is concerned, your absolutely correct. Taking my opinion/advice into consideration is each individuals prerogative as I can do only as much to assist. Coming to the point, the sites mentioned earlier will get you tons of HBD options for individuals as well as for sharing by up to 4 persons. A larger bunch, unfortunately would have to search for condo's which in turn would be expensive, subject to one's budget. To conclude, if there is any assistance you guys need from me, just ask and I'll do what I can. FYI during my searches I found several place near the campus at very affordable rates via "ST properties" so it would be prudent to check them out.
Good luck boys, cheers

Thanks for the link Pulkit.
@Kaju and @Lawyer widt LAW: I do agree with you guys that it's time we start finding apartments and help each other on the accommodation front. It's very unlikely that we will find a place in any of the hostels.

So they've made it 32,250 for all international students apart from those enrolling for the IBL program, thats an increment of 2300 SGD from the last applicable fee(s). The maritime LLM full time coursework fee(s) as what can be seen from their website is apparently yet to be decided. The course has become costlier still....

Hi everyone,
Got a mail a few hours earlier from college green informing me that there are still a few places available with them, so all those who still haven't finalized their accommodation it may be a worthwhile avenue to pursue (subject to budget constraints) and enquire individually if you haven't received any specific mail from them.
Cheers and all the best guys
