Meanwhile,

I am still not able to log in to the UHMS Application Portal, though it is asked to try again on Saturday, 9 May 2015 after 9:00 am. Anyone encountered the same issue ?

Hey guys,
Just got a mail from NUS in the afternoon whereby they've requested to use the UHMS portal from the afternoon of the 11th as they are still in the process of resolving the technical issues

Hey guys,
I've found a few decent 4 BR HBD apartments near MRT stations which would take approximately 15-20 mins to reach campus. The price range seems to be 600-800 per person, so if interested please let me know via a personal message or through this thread as the same is in my budget. I'm looking more onwards HBD's as the condos are turning out to be too expensive.

Hi guys just got a letter from nus, got admitted for llm in international business law. Such a belated response was apparently due to late deliberation on my english test waiver.
Last week got through llm in corporate financial law at honk kong university.
Need your views which would be a better option (considering the option of stay back and job market)

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to let everyone know that I have received several further responses from Alumni's of NUS apart from a few who are at partner level positions at the more reputed firms there. The adjectives Vary between bleak, pathetic, terrible and non-existent prominently especially for folks from indian jurisdiction.
Moreover, it's been communicated in no uncertain terms that LL.M. Is quite a secondary consideration for foreign law firms and the local ones prefer generally sticking with the SG qualified lawyers, the exceptions being those having a UK or US bar enrollment. What truly is required and looked at is the prior work experience which should be fairly good and thus above average and moreover should be relevant vis a vis the practice areas of the firms intended to be applied to. The average ratio which has been echoed in consort by all is 1/10 (on an optimistic side) as regards the possibility of a placement post the completion of the course.
I may have shared a few points here in my prior posts but am reiterating them at the cost of repetition for the benefit of everyone so that one can keep updated with all the inputs I'm receiving subsequent to that first discussion. This is all the more relevant for those who are seeking to settle there and not return to their respective jurisdictions and so it would be prudent and pragmatic to objectively assess your experience as to its relevancy and import.
Hope this helps and please this is merely from an informative point of view and not intended to dissuade. Should there be any more inputs please feel free to contribute though I feel all of us have fairly covered this topic in detail earlier as well.
Good Morning/Afternoon/evening/Night depending on where everyone is, cheers

hey guys,
just wanted to inform everyone that i wont be going for the CFL LLM for the current year,
So to all the members here who will be finally taking the plunge, I wish each and everyone of you "all the very best" and hope that your endeavors turn out to be fruitful and successful.
To all those who have been a part of these discussions from the beginning, it was great fun interacting with you guys and hopefully we can stay in touch. If there is anyone else, who would not be joining NUS this year subsequent to their initial offer, then please do share it with everyone so that everyone gets an idea as regards the current situation, especially those who are on the waiting list, which going by yesteryear's posts is maintained by NUS.
Over and out (Exit stage left).

Hey guys,
In continuation of my preceding post, just wanted to update everyone that I had sought for a deferment from NUS for the next academic year, which has been granted to me along with a more than sufficient time of well over 6 months to confirm, so I'll probably be heading there next year(hopefully).
Once again all the best to those going this year and have great fun.
Cheers....
