fees to be paid semester wise. so if ur fee is 10,000SGD, then u ll pay 5000 for sem 1 and 5000 for sem 2.
Dont worry, they ll show u the division of expense they ll charge in ur myisis account which u ll get access to soon (or do u already have access to it?)

Since 'India' mentions that printing/xeroxing notes will be very expensive, could someone who has previous years' notes for Corporate and Financial Services Law please upload it/provide access it?

Thanks a lot for the help. I would like to particularly ask regarding accommodations. Where do NUS LLM students usually stay? And what places would you recommend? And how much would be a good budget for a single occupancy room with a common bathroom? I'm not sure if I should confine my search only to the Bukit Timah area. I'm also uncertain if I should limit my search just to hostels or look at HBD too; I'm just under the impression that the latter might be much more expensive. Your opinion would be most appreciated.

Accommodation
1) Graduate Residencies @ UTown- this would be the best option. its brand new(started operating since last year), cheaper than other places and within the NUS Kent Ridge Campus. There is free shuttle bus service so getting to Bukit Timah Campus is no problem. the details of this place is listed in the NUS website.
2) Evans Lodge- For those who are lazy and want to wake up 10mins before class can stay here. Its right across NUS. not even a five min walk from campus. there is Mr. Prata the 24hr food shop @ evans as well. The BIGGEST issue with this place is, there are common loos so it can get quite disgusting at times. Otherwise this place is just fine! the rates differ. Definitely more than the NUS Graduate Residencies. you can check out the website for its rates.
3) Singapore International Campus- SIC is a little off campus but still comparatively closer to NUS. just check up the rates online.
4) College Green- Usually its hard to get a place here coz this place is really nice. these are bungalows with 4rooms, 2-4 personal attached loos, living room dining space and a fully functional kitchen with a personal lawn. so u will share the bungalow with three other people.
For all the above, rates differ from 700-800SGD/per month. but usually if u book a room for a long period of time say six months the rate comes down. it depends from hostel to hostel.
Condos/HBDs are also a good option but ends up being expensive. if u want to live in one for the experience then maybe u shud come here and look up.

Best!
If u take up the offer, and come to SG by July end i ll hand them over to you.
Printing/ photocopying is at a very subsidised rate but over the course of time, it ll seem expensive.
Professor's handouts will be provided to u at each of ur opted subjects so dnt worry abt that. rest of the notes, case print outs etc is what we can pass on to u guys.

Thanks "India".
Can please share your name.
Further, can you let us know what are the job placement situation in NUS. Are there any campus placements? and are there cases where students have had to come back to India coz they havent got a job or such like situation.
Although last year and early this year was not good from a job market perspective and it could be an exceptional year where job market was concerned, but historically speaking how is the scenario. What is the average salary package once can expect post completion of this course?

Thanks, "India", your class notes would be of great help to me. I will be in Singapore by half July, are you still there then? Perhaps we can exchange e-mail addresses in order to specify the details :-) I would be more than happy to compensate you by the way!!
Best!

Thank you so much, India. I really appreciate the inputs:)
Do any of you know how soon we have to be in Singapore? Is it alright to arrive just the week before August 6 when the orientation starts? Thanks in advance for your responses.

Hi!
Just wanted to know how difficult is it to get accomodation at the NUS hostels. Am looking for the married graduate accomodation. Also please suggest service apartments near campus for married students and the costs involved.
Thanks.

LLM students get first preference at graduate residencies in U town. so u will for sure get ur place.
however, i am not sure abt married graduate accommodation...i have actually not come across anyone living with spouse at Utown!
its basically an apartment with 4rooms a living room space, kitchen and dining area and loo. so each student gets a room to themselves.
service apartments would turn out to be ridiculously expensive for the whole period u rent it out (for almost a year).
in ur case u cud actually look for an apartment on rent like a studio apartment or condo whatever. i think it would be best if u came to sg and then looked for a place or if u know anyone here who could check out an apartment for u.
