National University of Singapore - LL.M & PhD Applications for 2010 Now Open

Ana!

To Sri12345,
1. I havent received any mail about payment of fees yet, and as far as I remember, NUS had written in one of their communications that fees is to be paid semesterwise.
2. I had thought I would get the medicals done in India only, but after APGs mail, will be reconsidering that.
3. I have booked in Evans Lodge
4. Havent booked my flight yet, shall let you know when booked.

In fact, I wanted to ask everyone on the Board, is it ok if we book a one way ticket? I am asking because there was some confusion a few weeks back on the Board that we have to book a return ticket otherwise Singapore doesnt let you in. I hope that confusion is clear now and we can safely book a one way ticket? Please let me know what all of you have decided in this regard.

Also, have you guys received any communication with regard to payment of fees?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Great, I'll also stay at Evans Lodge.
Regarding one way tickets, I have one and I'm quite confident that it's fine as I'll have IPA letter (haven't received one yet...)

KR,
A.

To Ngannp: I (as IBL student :)) am joining on 7th of July for registration and have Common law course from 12th of July. Those who are not required to take Common law or English course join in August.

To Reema: Haven't received username and password yet. As to the bank draft, I'm still not quite clear about it...

could anyone explain about this payment method in detail, please? Thanks very much in advance!

Hi guys, regarding the fee payment, I just checked some post of LLM course 2009, it said that:

For the other LLM programmes conducted entirely in Singapore - the fees are payable in two equal installments at the beginning of each semester. In addition, there are the mandatory miscellaneous fees

So my understanding is that we probably might opt either to get a bank draft for the whole academic year (i.e. S$17,220 for CFS) or for each semester (a half of
S$17,220), plus the mandatory miscellaneous fees (appx S$500). Could some 2009 alumni can confirm on this regard?

Ana: hey dont forget to meet up before the course will start :)

Hi everyone. Im Melda from IBL'09-10 batch.
As i also experienced accommodation issues last year, figured you might need some help ;) I would like to forward to you all my flatmate's e-mail who is currently looking for a tenant for the room available in her condo. I stayed there last year during our stay in SP,it's a very clean, nice place which is also very close to NUS bukit timah campus. If anyone is interested renting the room (at Robin Road) for a short term or her other flat (at Holand Village) for long term please do not hesitate to contact her: llimmn@yahoo.com

good luck and enjoy your studies @NUS!

cheers!
