LLM from NLUs in India

Guys think hundred times before joining LLM course from any of the National Law Universities in India. The so called National Law Schools in India are lacking good faculties and quality teaching. I am a victim of the much hyped quality and standards of NLUs in India. Most of the these colleges are not able to provide placements after master degree. After joining the course you will be told that their LLM course is meant to produce academicians and hence they do not focus on LLM placement. Forget about placement, even the quality of teaching is extremely poor. Classes are rarely conducted. In some NLUs, partners of law firms will come to take classes and only God knows what they teach. You may be asked to attend classes at any time like evening may be at 9 PM. There is no fixed schedule for classes (although officially they do have), because these law firm partners don't have time from their usual business. It looks good from outside but once you are in, you will come to know the reality. NLUs are busy with LLB students and they don't pay attention to their LLM course. I can say this because I have done my LLB from National Law School and currently doing my LLM as well from so called top law school of India. Guys think twice before joining LLM at NLUs. If you are thinking that you would be able to prepare for judiciary or IAS then it is strongly recommended not to join any NLUs in India as they will keep you busy in projects, presentation seminar and all. So better join traditional law college, you will get enough time for preparation and self study.
