Hi guys,
I am in my first year of CPE/GDL and will get a LLB from MMU (Manchester Metropolitan Univ) eventually. I alread have a bachelor's degree (non-law related) from Univ of California, Berkeley and four years of IT work experience in one of the largest telecommunications firm in the world. I am wondering if I should try to get a LLM from a top law school either in the UK or US before applying to PCLL? Which one would be more valued by international firms and large local firms such as JSM in HK, UK or US LLM?
I have not decided on whether to become a solicitor or barrister (although I am leaning towards solicitor), so I would like to hear advice on both career tracks, if there is any difference.
In addition, do you think whether a JD or LLM will be more advantageous to me in applying for a solicitor position?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!
Harvard or Oxbridge LLM more valuable in Hong Kong?

not really an answer to your question, but maybe of interest anyway.
