Below is a list of application deadlines for LL.M. programs at 30 US law schools beginning in Fall 2012. The 30 law schools listed below were chosen based on the most-viewed university profiles on LLM GUIDE.

For all applicants with foreign credentials - December 15
For domestic applicants:
- Legal Theory LL.M. - February 1
- Taxation LL.M. - April 2 (preferred by February 1 for scholarship applicants)
- All other full-time LL.M. programs: April 2
- Part-time LL.M. program: June 1

Berkeley - December 15

Harvard - December 1

Columbia - November 1 (early review) or December 15

Boston University -
- LL.M. in American Law - April 15
- LL.M. in Intellectual Property - April 15
- LL.M. in Banking & Financial Law - July 31 (domestic applicants); May 31 (foreign applicants)
- LL.M. in Taxation - July 31 (domestic applicants); May 31 (foreign applicants)

UCLA - February 15

Georgetown -
- November 15 (early action - foreign applicants)
- January 5 (early action - domestic applicants)
- February 15 (regular action - foreign applicants)
- March 1 (regular action - domestic applicants)
