Yale admission

I actually found out today that I got in. The email came through Fulbright, so I'm not sure when it was sent, but I wouldn't lose up hope.

Never! I mean, there is always the chance that some of you offer holders will go somewhere else! ;-)

According to an e-mail I got from Yale on Wednesday, "Decisions will be mailed out next week." and "Decisions are not given by email."

So we will know soon.

They say decisions aren't sent via email, but they've already emailed decisions to several people??

That's what they wrote to me.

Probably just Yale's way to tell me "stop bothering us, we do not care anyway". :-)

The emails are only to Fulbright students. We're not allowed to get in touch with the universities ourselves, and vice versa, so decisions have to be notified through the Institute of International Education.

Little mind game:
- Yale called its preferred applicants around the 8, 9 March
- Harvard released its decisions on the 19 March
- It is likely that at least some of Yale's favorites applied to HLS too and also got admitted there
- Yale has a really small program, where too many denials hurt
- No rejection has been send out yet (at least none reported here...)

I think you get where I am aimed at.

Thoughts?

I hope any guys holding offers for YLS and SPILS go to YLS so I can take a place at SPILS, since I have been wait-listed there. May be there are some YLS admitted applicants who have also received offers for HLS and SPILS, which would add some more complexity to the puzzle. May be they do not release denial letters until deadlines from SPILS and HLS also expire.

So who's coming to New Haven in August?

I've already accepted the offer of admission from Yale Law School.

Those who have made up their mind and decided to go to YLS, please send me a pm if you want to get in touch with a future classmate. I would enjoy hearing from you and since we are not many, it would be good to get to know each other before the autumn.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Best regards,

Kjuris

Hi everybody,

I am a student of final year of law school in Brazil. I really want to do LLM after I graduated but I do not know how long this process can be. I wanted some tips of you who are already going through all this up and have been accepted at Yale.
I thank you for your help and congratulations to those approved.

Thanks a lot
