Of the people who have applied to Yale, is there anyone who has just graduated from Law School? Or has everyone got years of experience as a law professor etc.?

I haven't even graduated yet. Will do so in June. Still I've applied to Yale. I heard that usually one to two students in the LLM class fit this profile.

Yeah, I graduate in June as well. Glad I'm not the only one! Hopefully you and I can sneak into those two spots then (although I have to say, I seriously doubt whether I'll even get a look-in!). Where you studying?

Yes, they made the first calls on Friday 5th. Novermber.

I'm fucking nervous about that ! If we assume that yale have to call 28 to 30 (maximum) applicants, it will not take more than 2 days to call all of them..
So let's keep fingers crossed !

AH! When are they gonna call! I saw something about them not sending rejection emails until April for the 2008 applicants! I have no idea what to expect! I saw some rapper get accepted a few years ago - he had an amazing story about teaching himself to read, but said that he had terrible grades. OMG! Somebody end the panicking!

My call on Friday lasted about 15 minutes. So, it could still be that you get the call on Wednesday. I wish all of you good luck.
However, I do not believe the stories that someone gets an offer from Yale with bad grades. You must be under the best of class; but, of course, this does not mean that the best always gets an offer, other qualities are important, too.

And what was it about...? Care to summarize the discussion ?
Thanks in advance...:

1. I sent my application very late, almost too last.
2. The call was just about that what you would expect. You are in, do you want to apply for scholarship, you have to decide to take the placewithin 4 weeks, you will get some informations via post next week, contact address, and some small talk. That was all.
