It seems to have been very quiet here about Yale announcements from this past week, supposedly the last week for Yale admissions announcements. Could that mean that they are not done yet?
Does anyone know anything further?!

I'm very crushed too and still hope to call them on Monday.

However I got a dean from my institution to speak with someone who teaches there and all they said was that they usually got in touch with those who surpassed their thresholds first (that is, those who go far way ahead of what they required)- before taking a final look at borderline cases.

What I also heard is that those guys who truly shatter their requirements get a free ride...no tuition nothing and that their applications are considered ''separate''...having said that and without being jealous, my credentials were not that different from the guy who got in...I had more experience if there was to be a distinction...but I'm not Canadian...so how this works I just don't know but it's really tough....

destiny 09, i am as dejected as you if not more. i tried calling them today. it was on voicemail. will also call on monday. lets see. we should atleast find out if the waitlist candidates have also been notified.

decisions were supposed to be made by mid-March. I am assuming it has been made but would most appreciate if anyone who has called to confirm this?

I think I wrote once before earlier this week I called to Yale and they said ALL decisions were made and MAILED with regular post by Friday the latest. As much as I hate to believe it. She didn't say anything about them calling up the applicants, perhaps not to cause me to ask further. I didnt ask about my own but just in general.

I think i'm gonna withdraw my Yale Application on Monday, since I got into Stanford SPILS, and SLS/HLS are my dream schools.

I know that this may be a pointless attitude, since 2 guys (actually, 1 guy and 1 girl) from my country - Brazil - have already been admited, and my chances tend toward zero. Still, I want to have the feeling of rejecting them before they reject me ahhahaahha!!
