My electronic application to Georgetown got lost in cyperspace. They charged my credit card, though. Can't recommend GULC to anyone after that experience. I sent them email and they responded once or twice, but at some point they just stopped responding. Well, I'm taking my money to Yale, so f... Georgetown.

Berkeley
They never respond to any of my email until I got a rejection letter by normal mail three months later.

I applied to Harvard, Yale, Chicago and NYU: all of them were miserable experiences.
Although I will go to HLS and currently love the institution :-), I understand the frustration of many people with the pathetic "test mail" thing. So I vote Harvard. Although I must tell you that they really treat us well after admission.

I, personally, vote bad admission process for Cornell and UCLA. Good taking care for "Georgetown"--> send lots of information to me. Upenn also have a nice process.
- Cornell--> just a letter and i asked for admission email, they refused to send me. What!!!
- UCLA --> send email thousand times never reply.

Harvard is # 1 by far in the incompetence ranking... The test e-mail issue was hard to beat by anyone...

I agree. I haven't received the rejection letter yet. That test e-mail was ridiculous ...

people, are you forgetting about Columbia? Some people admitted in early January, some in April, and many just waiting for a response of any kind.
Posted Apr 06, 2006 11:07
Come on guys, Columbia is the worst. Harvard, at least, tries to keep you informed and provides for a deadline (even if they didn't respect it at the last minute)
Columbia's the slowest, not necessarily the nicest and when you dare asking for your application status, either they yell at you or they reject you.....

u bet rippy...Columbia sucks too...am still waiting for some kinda answer...

I'm just giving up on Columbia. I don't think I'm even going to consider it. Haven't heard from them at all. Anyway, I'm having enough of a hard time trying to decide between Harvard and Stanford. I don't even want to include Columbia into the picture. On the other hand I'm still curious to see if I was admitted :).

well i got into columbia....and the lady there is absolutely snooty...called her and courtesy sake asked whether i could speak to her for a minute....the b**** said "no"!!!!!!!!! she continued her song by saying that it was difficult for her to stop what she was currently doing....(god knows what)...and preferred to be emailed.....
i was discussing this with a current llm student there who affirmed the feeling by saying that they are one arrogant lot....so ya...my vote goes for columbia.for worst admn. process..
but i have no hesitation in takin admission there...

I do not know about the worst admission process. What I do know, however, is that the Admissions Office's work at Vanderbilt is outstanding. I have been treated with professionalism, care, and kindness. They promptly replied to all my emails, but also called me to provide me with additional information. It is a smaller school, but the quality of the faculty is excellent and it is ranked 17 in the US News & World Report. International students should definitely consider applying to their LL.M. program.
