When to apply for the LLM program

ja83

Hello,

I am currently 21 years old and I am still undertaking my LLB in England. I will be finished in June 2009. Should I apply immediately to the LLM programs in the USA once I graduate in 2009? Or should I get some work experience? Any additional comments regarding strengthening an application to the LLM programs would be great!

Thanks,
Ja

Hi,
well, it all depends on the university your applying to. as of now, i would advise you to look for the university you would like to join 2009, do research on it, some universities would expect you to have applied towards end of 2008 or early 2009.

and some want work experience while others dont. first look for the college , know what they want. everything varies from one university to another.

I am a 17 year old South African female. I attend a very prestigious private school in Pretoria, South Africa, which is Crawford College Pretoria. I have lived in Australia, America, China, and South Africa. I speak my home languages Xhosa and English fluently, and I can speak Chinese well, however my Chinese writing skills are poor. I am a A-ish, B-ish student, and I play the piano, basketball, and rugby. i have taken part in Habitat for Humanity last year while I was in China. I would like to know what are my chances for getting into these schools: Columbia University, Pace, Manhattan College, and Pace University.

Anything else that you guys could help me with would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

Hey,

Thanks a lot for your comment. Well I would ideally like to apply to the ivy schools (NYU, Yale, Harvard etc.). However, berkeley as well is also one of my choices.
