Hey Guys!
I just completed my first year of my LLB program. For semester one I have a 3.85 GPA and for semester two I've fallen down to a 3.43 GPA. I must confess that I was idling and I have paid the price. However no as I am refocusing myself my dream of attending Harvard for my LLM is becoming quite clear. I've only joined one club for the year and held no position on the board.
May I please have some advice as it regards GPA requirements, EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES and VOLUNTARY ACTIVITIES. I really want to know so I can start these activities. Please indicate type of activities or amount. Advice on how you structured your time would be help too!
THANK YOU!!!!!
What should I do to make me stand out?

I'm curious. Is it that everyone who has read the post (138) to date ignoring my post because they think I do not stand a chance because my GPA isn't 4.0 or above? I can take it if thats what you think or if that is what's actually true. I know this question reveals my insecurities but please answer me. Thank you!

No chance for Harvard. Activities etc are not counted for much, you will be wasting your time. I believe you might have a better shot for a decent quality LLM in Unis in the UK...They might be more exited to get a US student (if you are a US student). Try UCL, KCL, Edinburgh, Durham. No chance for Oxbridge or LSE. Then, try to graduate with good grades and then maybe you will have a chance for an LLM in the US schools...
If you are not a US student, try mid-range US schools with a particular focus that is of interest to you

I attend the university of the west indies. Why no chance?I'll be applying if four years time. The gpas I listed were for my first and second semester respectively. I'm still in the running for a first honours degree. Please tell. THanks!:-)

I thought you were graduating. If you 4 years away, you still have time. Ignore social/extra carricular = two things you need, grades and recommendation from famous/senior professor. Also summer internship in a good firm. That's it
