Thought I would start a thread for all the people waiting to hear back from NYU. I know all the international students were told they would hear back by April 1 but it seems as if NYU is content to string us domestics on for a long time.

As for me, my application became complete the first week of March, but I got an email the second week of march saying they needed my fall semester grades. I had already given them these grades so I called and let them know and they realized their mistake so it is possible my file really didnt become complete until the second week of March.

I also have a friend whose file became complete in early february and he received notice about a week ago that he didnt get in.

So how about the rest of you people who havent heard yet. When did your application becomes complete. And for the domestic students who have already gotten notice, when did you application become complete and when did you receive a decision?

It was about three weeks or so from the time my application became complete until I got my acceptance. I have a friend who was admitted this week--it took about eight weeks for him.

Setho, did you call NYU?

I want to call the admissions office but at the same time I know their policy isnt to give admissions decisions over the phone. Right now my application has been complete for less than 4 weeks and they say it takes 6-10 weeks for a decision to be made so its not like they have missed any deadlines.

The last time I spoke to someone at admissions was when there was a mixup regarding my transcript, and the person I spoke to on the phone sounded stressed, as if she had received many phone calls. The last thing I want to do is upset the people in admissions!!! Especially with a phone call that is due more to me being neurotic than them doing anything wrong.

C'mon I know there are some domestics out there. When did you guys become complete and if you have heard something let us know. Even if you havent received a decision, let us know when you became complete.

I'm a domestic NYU Tax LLM applicant, and my file became complete in early February. I still haven't recieved any word. I've called on the phone a few times to check the status of my application, and each time they've told me that it's with the committee for review.

My application was complete toward the end of January. I received the acceptance package in the middle of March. Good luck!! I'm sure you will hear something in a couple of weeks.

Nope, nada, zip, zero, zilch. I havent called the office though, as I know they are not allowed to give admissions decisions over the phone. I just wish NYU had an application status website like Georgetown so I could know when a decision has been made.

domestic, no news for me either. application completed in november, submitted an updated transcript in jan. i called a gazillion times already and same response each time: "it's with committee..." i am starting to think they are making paper airplanes with my application...

Hey setho, if you simply wanna know if a decision has been made, then you can call them up. I did and they told me my letter has been mailed. Of course as you point out they don't tell you the decision over the phone, but if you're just wanting to know whether a decision has been made, then you can call them and ask.

I have not received the letter from NYU neither.

However, I know I am admitted as I could log on the admitted students web page of NYU. Try and if you can log on this means that you are admitted....
