I was informed by Michigan and Upenn yesterday that I have been put onto the waiting list by them. Oh, my...on the same day.
Any advice for me to deal with this deadlock?
Thank you in advance!

Welll, Michigan's deadline in April 1st, so I assume that after that date you will be able to know where you stand, and it's not very far away.
Best of luck!

Regarding michigan, I think it might be good if you send an email to dora maria asking if there is something else that you can do to increase your chancesto get in. Maybe an other recommendation letter or something..
good luck!

I got rejected by U Penn yesterday. So far only got admitted in Northwestern, still no news from Michigan...Is this a bad sign?

Zacaotian,
Are you W/L or no notice at all? where are you from? what are your credentials?
maybe it is not a bad sign. Maybe UMich will accept you at its second wave. People who got in have untill april 1 to answer them, after that I believe they will release more acceptance notes. Keep positive thinking.

I strongly want to go UM. Do you know whether adding recommendation letters make my situation better or not?
Is not it too late?

JJJ,
I don't think you can decide it by yourself and send more recommendations letter, but I do believe that send an email to them asking IF there is something else that you can do to increase your chances to be accepted is not a bad idea. I think it worths a shot and even though they tell you there is nothing more you can do, they will know that you have a big interest in Umich, what might help in itself.
good luck!

I haven't heard any news from UoM...It's also my dream school so I'm very anxious. I'm from China, a bachelor degree and 4 years work experience.

Whatiwant,
I don't think you have reasons to be worried now. I am sure they will release a second wave of acceptance after mid-april.

Yes,I mean after because my deadline (and of many others) to answer them is april 15, so I do not think they will release many offer until this date.
Well, your are in a complicate situation but I think you want to do something, there 2 things! call Uomich and ask them when they are gonne release it and see if they can accelerate your process (what I think the chances are odd), or/and call the other univ and ask for a extension!
I am not really sure if it is gonna work! I hope so!
best of the luck! keep me updated!
