I am now in the waiting list of Cornell. Does that mean the possibility of entry is small? Can I do something to increase the chance?

don't think so, but be confident that some spots will be avaliable as soon as other universities will release their own decisions. there's a question I'm not able to answer tough: waiting list is done after admission offers have been notified or at same time? how is possible I've haven't heard anything from Cornell, Chicago, and UVA and waiting lists are already open?

Hey don't worry, I agree with stagista, as soon as other schools will release decisions, spots will become available at cornell..! i don't know if you can do something to increase your chances, but keep your hope up!!

yesterday I wrote to Cornell admissions, and they get back to me almost immediately, saying that I have nothing to be worried of, but that a final decision is unlikely to be released before mid March, due to my application timing...in all truth, I've sent my application in early September...by the way, let's trustfully wait till that date...

Stagista,
I am just wondering which universities have u heard from?
I have only heard from Chicago but I am somewhat worried because quite a number of people have heard from Cornell and Michigan (which I have also applied to).
:(

Gregor,
I haven't heard from cornell either, but about UoMich, I think it may works to send Dora Maria an email or even call them to make sure your are interested in the school!
They will probably release the second wave of acceptance notices after mid april!
good luck!
