I agree with Sudkhet. Work experience may not be a barrier between the one who has and hasn't, but will be a good activator for legal improvement, for all of us.

Dear Sudkhet, thank you for your prompt reply. So far as I know, some schools do allow their LL.M. students to transfer to their J.D. program without LSAT. However, as one can imagine, the admission is extremely selective. Apart from this, I was searching some information about Vandy's LL.M. program to help myself make the decision. I found that most Vandy's LL.M. students tend to in their 30s and have lots of work experience. (Is that true?) I couldn't help but think if I study there, with what topics I could talk or discuss with them. You might think I am worried too much... By the way, I am also curious about LL.M. students' career developement after graduation from Vandy. Are there any your classmates or alumni working and staying in the US? I just heard that an LL.M. student from other school has three offerings of NYC's top law firms at graduation. Again, I would appreciate your views. Thank you.

Hi Keyif:
Please be relaxed!!! When I studied at Vandy, I was the youngest LL.M. student - 23 years old, and my age was not a barrier to study and to share my legal opinions with other LL.M. and JD students!
Most of my LL.M. friends returned to thier home countries after they graduated. However, an LL.M. student still remains in the US and now works in NYC.

Yes, we are! I was born in 1984. :) BTW, would you please tell me sth about the housing in Vandy? Which apartment near the law school is better? Thank you.

Wow, you are so young...should I envy you? Kidding. It is a pity that Vandy does't provide on-campus housing. Since you seem to decide to go to Vandy, will you attend its summer English & Legal program?

Hi I am really sorry for my later reply. I am still orangesunny (I forgot my password, so I registered a new name, add "00"). I think age is definitely not a problem for communication and study. When I was in Vandy, I feel like we are big family. We hang out and eat different food from differnt countries, we helped each other and share our opinions. Some students are a little bit older (I am the second oldest student last year in Vandy), but we can still talk a lot. People who are older and having experiences, in my opinions, they are great. You can learn a lot from them on how to deal with problem, how to solve difficulties. I had a lot of friends when I was in Vandy (both from LLM and a lot of JDs.) They are very nice, and you can definitely learn a lot from them.
I did not live in the on compus dorm. Actually most of law students rent apartments to live. My apartment was just across the stree to law school, and it was really convenience for me to commute. The city is really nice. I am now working in NYC, and last month I even came back to Nashville to visit my friends inLaw School. I love there. If you have any questions, please send an email to me at linda.na.du@gmail.com. Thanks. Hope the above is helpful.

Ha... It seems that Linda loves Vandy a lot! I'm sure it will be a great experience there. Bless Vandy!
... Can anyone tell me sth. about the weather there? I saw the terrible news last Sat., which said about 52 tornados within 24 hours...

Hi there! I am certain that Vanderbilt has a great deal to offer in the form of an excellent legal education and should be among the top schools considered. I think the supportive environment and their accessible faculty are unique. It is very rare to hear that law students are like a big family at other schools. At most time law students tend to get highly competitive, which could make ones life quite miserable.

hi friends,
I have been rejected by BU, and Loyola. I am still waiting for Cornell and USC decision. I am worried about it. Do you guys think I will be accepted by these Universities.
I will be graduating in this summer from Kingston University London.
I have been an average student overall.
Please advise
