i have recived my I-20 from San Fransico University, would be applying for Visa, My problem is that i have a Sponsor in US who has sponsored me $55000/- dollars that entire for tution and living. Now do i have to show any Back up money on my bank Account while applying for Visa?

I do not think you have to show that back up money, the only thing I strongly advice you, is of course show the letter and bank statement from your sponsor and since he/she is from US, it is nor required to be translated.

I would also consider to visit the wb site of the embassy in your home country, to confirm the above.

Also, it would not do any harm, if the sponsor give you and affidavit letter of the money that is going to give you, plus of course, details about he/she adress, social security number, phone number, job, and all this stuff

I have also a question. I'm filling in the paperwork and one of the questions is:
"List All Countries You have Entered in the Last Ten Years"

Do they really mean all countries I have visited as a tourist too??!!

I also consider kind of over the hedge the subject about the countries you have visited.

But because we are talking about US, it´s my opinion that you put, in an accurate way, all the countries you have visited.

It would be disastrous if your Visa is denied because of wrong information, besides, I think they have a sofisticated data base about people that have traveled in some countries as a tourist, so maybe they have your background.

So, conclusion, name all the countries you have visited, and if there is lack of space, use another visa form, or, type it down on regular sheet.

The thing is, I am a EU citizen. I have visited mostly EU countries over the last 10 years. As the European Union has the "free movement of persons" there is absolutely no way they can know what EU country I have visited when...

Besides the lack of space, it would take me a lot of time to look up what countries I've visited the last 10 years...

Conclusion: it's a stupid waist of time, but I guess I have no choice than filling in every country... ;)

I cannot agree more with you, about the waste of time.

Regarding the "free movement of persons" I agree with you there is no way they can know everyone of the countries you have entered, but on the other hand EU is not half of the world, I guess there are no more than 20 countries, so the list is not that large (I entered about 15 countries the last 10 years).

I guess we have to think beyond, and a little more, of course US don´t have many problemes with most of the European Countries, but how about, East Europe, Asia or Africa,

These are all the things we have to go through.

We decide to suffer, but as they say "shit happens".
