UPENN or Georgetown

JLLM

Dear all,

I have received early admission from UPENN and Georgetown for LLM. I know that Upenn is better ranked and that Georgetown has a better location. Can you give me your thoughts on which one should i choose?

As always, it depends entirely on what you want. Just like UPENN, Georgetown allows you to take classes at the Main Campus in anything you want. Also, consider the benefit of Georgetown's Supreme Court Moot Court Program and its general proximity to the Federal Courts/links to the highest decision makers of the States. If you are looking to specialize in anything public related (public international law, criminal law, constitutional, arbitration etc.), Georgetown may suit you better than UPENN.

Georgetown probably has some form of reciprocity to take classes at other DC area schools. I know they do with George Washington University for the national security LLM program. Might want to look into that?
