Here's the response I received from the Penn Law Admissions Coordinator -- hopefully this allays all fears...

"The "apparent contradiction" you cite has a simple explanation: we linked to last year's form and FAQ's by mistake. The correct text, which is either online now or will be up shortly, indicates that applicants who choose to matriculate at Penn must make their first deposit by the later of:

· April 1; or

· 30 days after the date of the first notice informing them of their admission.

In your case, of course, the deadline is therefore April 1."

Hey guys what's up?, hope it is not that late to tell you I was also accepted at Upenn. I am on the same boat that LLM 06 , i.e. struggling to make a decision among Georgetown, Northwestern and UPenn.
If anybody is interested, the relevant information of my application is the following:
Citizenship: Chilean (anybody else???)
Application date: Nov. 28
Upenn decision: Feb 1
LSAC: I didn't use them....think I did the correct thing.
I'm not decided yet, still have to wait for NYU and Chicago.

This post just to inform the community that I also have been admitted to UPenn. I am french. I am happy. (There is not necessarily a cause/effect between these assertions, though)

I'm Ley from THailand. I got the acceptance e-mail from Upenn on 1 Feb 2006. And I also got the acceptance to LLM/Kellogg (Northwestern Uni.). I think that this is a hard decision. Do you guys have any suggestion??

Laure, congrats for your acceptance. Yes they are. Unfortunately foreign students must take the summers courses wich consists in daily classes of over 4 hours during the morning and also readings to do at home.
Is not a good beginning....
