Any news on scholarships so far?


Yes. I have been awarded $40,000 - Dean's Scholarship.


Wow,congrats! That's a huge amount. This year's results come one week earlier than last year's. When exactly did you receive the email?

Interesting. If a scholarship decision has been made, does it mean first round has already happened? On the last thread it seemed after an initial set of emails on 12 March, people did not hear til April.

I also received a 40k award - Dean's Scholarship. The award e-mail came in on March 5, around 3-4pm (US time). I received my admission email on Feb 17.

I also just received a $10K scholarship. I received much more important scholarships from other schools so far, so I was also wondering if I could use that as a leverage. Although I do have the feeling that we would only be able to ask for more once all the scholarships have been given....

Yes. I tried doing this with Columbia and they said a flat no! I'm waiting on scholarships from Berkeley and NYU and will try to leverage as far as possible.

It is not refundable. it is calculated as part of the $2750 Summer Fee and you will have to complete the balance of $2250 by May 1, 2020.

Hi everyone! Congratulations again to those who were admitted. I am really considering UPenn.
I received a 10k scholarship as well. Unfortunately, it's much less than I had hoped for. However, I wonder whether they take external scholarships into account? I was required to inform UPenn of a substantial fellowship I received in my home country, and I imagine they took that information into account.

I got naught, but they told me that decisions will continue until June. Maybe they are waiting for those who got a scholarship and will decline in order to grant them to others.
