UPenn 2013-2014

I am depressed. I applied to Harvard and Upenn. While I await a response from Harvard, I just got wait listed from Upenn. My hopes of even getting into Harvard has been crushed. What do I do. Even if Upenn later offers me a place in April, do you think they will consider me for their Human Rights scholarship?

Don't be depressed.

It is not indicative of being rejected elsewhere.

I was waitlisted at Penn, but got into Cambridge - who knows what each school is looking for, and how your profile compares with their applicant pool.

You could get rejected everywhere but Harvard...I'd be just fine with that.

I was about to ask the same question. According to this thread, It seems like people were admitted on saturday, waitlisted on monday but no rejection yet. Don't know what to make of that. I think we have to wait till the first day of march. Patience is a virtue

I doesn't look good for those of us that have still not heard from the Admissions Office... We can do nothing but wait now. In the meantime, I am sort of preparing myself for rejection, it is actually pretty hard! UPenn was my absolute top choice. Anyway, congratulations for all those who got in! =)

Hi guys,

Congratulations to those who got their offers and good luck to those who are still waiting.

I would like to hear your thoughts about Penn Law's International Law Program. I received my offer of admission and would like to focus on IL, specifically human rights and international environmental law. Any ideas on how Penn Law is doing in these fields?

Thanks.

Hi,

I am also very interested in public international law.
I was admitted to Penn, Berkeley, UCLA and Cornell so far.
From what I know about Penn, they are not really strong in international law, and they have about 2-3 professors specializing in PIL. However, I believe Penn is a good place to study any field of law, since it's a highly ranked school and known worldwide.

From what I've seen and read, NYU and Columbia are the best to pursue PIL at, Berkeley is also highly ranked and offers many opportunities in the field.

I was admitted at Penn Law and was offered a scholarship earlier this week. However, I am still weighing my other options. I also applied atHarvard and NYU, but still no feedback yet. I need to confirm my scholarship at Penn Law soon, otherwise it will be given to someone else. I'm still mulling about it though.

Hi, how long did it take for you to get the email on scholarship after you receive the admission email? Thanks!
