I attended the Law Center in the energy programme and graduated in 2009.
Good school, a bargain, very good course if you are interested in the sector! There are not a lot of schools offering this course and this cheap!!
Houston is great!! Good luck!!!

Is it true that the neighborhood where is located the UH is dangerous? if it is true, where do you recommend to live that would not be far from UH?

I did my energy LLM there. Yes UH is one of the worst wards of Houston, however is currently being cleaned up as the metro (train) is being built from downtown all the way to campus.
You will find that this is common in some US Universities being located in bad areas but I never felt unsafe as I knew when and where to go.
The Law center is a good law school and a bargain these days in the US. I had a great LLM degree and very well respected abroad, specially in the energy sector.
The law center has graduate accommodation literally across the road from the school and it is very good but a bit expensive. Try looking around Montrose area, which is a very nice area and if you' re lucky you will find affordable housing. Bus 42 runs from Montrose straight to campus.
