Has requirement list gone blank for anyone? From last years threads, seems like lists for some ppl had already gone blank by this date and is usually a sign of admission

Hey all - my requirement list isn't completely blank either - however the TOEFL box is blank even though I have submitted a TOEFL score. Don't really know what that is.

Good luck to all!

Did the TOEFL box turn blank from being checked before, or has it been blank the entire time?

Best of luck!

In any case that this is helpful, I contacted them regarding my TOEFL score and this is the reply I got:

''Dear .... , thank you for your email and application to the LLM.

We have received your TOEFL along with all of your other materials.  Therefore, your application has been marked as complete and submitted for review.  In the status checker we only communicate whether an application is complete or incomplete.
You will receive a decision on your application via email on February 15th.
Kind regards,
Office of Graduate Programs

I had this empty „substatus“ since the beginning. But I just noticed that my „application status date“ now shows 1/17/2023. I am rather sure that this field showed a date in December previously. The status itself remains unchanged „complete and submitted for review“

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to let you know that in an email conversation I had with UChicago Law Grad, they wrote that the status checker "ceases to be used once a candidate's application is considered complete" and that "all other communications will be done through email".
So it seems that any changes in the status checker after completing the application cannot be seen as a hint for admission...

Could you guys share the date you completed your applications and the current status date as of now shown in your status checker? Date change means something, but we don't know whether it's a positive construed or negative one. Also, not sure whether this happened for all or selected ones only.Mine was completed on November 30th; the current status date is 1/17/2023.

I completed my application on 12/12/22 and received confirmation of completion on 12/13/22. On the same day, one of my LoR authors received a confirmation that they received my application.

Current application status date is
01/17/23 since a few days. Before it was 12/13/22. Requirements list is unchanged and NOT blank.

Same here, and requirements list in NOT blank too. Didn't get the LoR author point, do you mean that UChicago send a separate confirmation email to the referees too?

This specific referee is a UChicago alumnus. He received an e-mail where they thanked him for the recommendation letter and confirmed to him that I applied. But I do not think every referee receives such a confirmation, that was only an informal exchange.

This is great! They mentioned that "Letters from UChicago grads are very useful, but do not guarantee admission." in their website. Sounds like they substitute the BLANK sign of last years with a DATE CHANGE, and I think this is a positive sign - but still there are three of us only as of now here :)
Fingers crossed!

Hey! Been a lurker here. Applied November 17, my application status date changed to January 17 as well, so that makes four of us. Cheers!

i dont know if we can think this is positive or negative sign. might just be a sign that the application has been reviewed or under a stage of review. do you guys know of any1 whose status date has not changed to Janauary 17?

what do you guys think?
