Hi folks,
I had an informal conversation with a former UofC staff member yesterday and was told that those with a date change meaning they pass UR1 to UR2 and will likely be admitted and those without will likely be either rejected or waitlisted.

Best of luck to all of us!

Thank you for your information. It really eases my nerve...

Hey! I don't know of anyone whose day has not changed to some time in January! Do you know anyone whose date hasn't changed?

The date on mine is January 27th too! Well, if there really are folks without any date changes then there might be some positive news for us! Although I don't want to celebrate too soon haha! All answers arrive on the 15th, good luck to everyone <3

"The review of individual applications is just the first step in the process. The second step takes place in late January and early February, once most of the applications have been reviewed. At that point we look at the decisions as a group to see if we are putting together a diverse and interesting class taking into account such factors as nationality, career history, current occupation, educational background, academic interest, etc."

think UofC, unlike previous yrs where the req list went blank, has not given any hints this year, before Feb 15.

The date changes to a Jan date are far too common to mean anything (except that its UR2 or that might be a decision has been made, positive or negative). keeping in mind that a number of applicants will also be rejected at UR2 stage

Unless we see any changes to the UofC portal today tomorrow, we will just have to wait till Feb 15 to hear

No body should lose hope in any way. This thread doesn't represent the majority even though it's the most active one in the top 5 law schools. We just share our thoughts and the information we know/collect to make this nerve-wracking waiting time more easier for all of us, and regardless of what the final result is gonna be, we all should be proud of ourselves.

This year some law schools linked the status checker's page with the LSAC account credentials such as NYU and Chicago. Columbia has built its own portal for the first time this year similarly to Harvard's portal as they mentioned in a recent virtual session. As a result, the requirements-list-gone-blank is no longer a definite sign.

Take it easy as there is no way to change anything. Let's hope we all celebrate together in two days!
