Umich

Dear All,
I am new here though I've read many helpful posts. Here I have a question and need your opinions. I got admission from Umich but I saw few discussions about it. Can anyone share your opinions? Is it a good law school? the academic quality? job prospectives? And if compared with NYU and UPenn, which one will you recommend? Thanks for your replies in advance.

Also got an admission from UMich, but waiting for their decision about fellowships. For me, advantages:
- small LL.M. class (about 35-40)
- small town, so not so expensive as NY, and more appropriate for study (my personal opinion, maybe, I'm just tired to go out every evening in Paris:))
- very good reputation and good ranking
-they participate in the LL.M. job fair in NY

Disadvantages: slightly lower in rankings than NYU, f.ex.

What do you think about it?

I was also admitted at UMich and am in the same dilemma as to going to a big city (admitted also at U. Chicago and LSE) or to quieter, cheaper Ann Arbor (or Virginia). I really think that UMich is very highly regarded among recruiters and it does have excellent faculty, plus they are popular about being a friendly community.
Plus, you are a couple hours away from skiing resorts!!!
Don't know, just my thoughts...

Hey everybody!
How did you guys received UMich's offer? By email? By regular mail?
I keep on waiting any news from them, I called today, but all I could hear was the answer machine.
Did you hear something about rejections or waiting list?
Cheers

I have not found any mention of deposit in the acceptance letter I have to send to Michigan before 11 April. Is there any? How much? And one more question: I am waiting for them to reach a decision on my financial aid application, do you think I should insist to get it before I accept their offer or they are waiting for me to accept before decide on the financial issue? (my acceptance may be conditional, I can say I accept if you give me such sum)....

Thank you for your opnions. But I still can't make up my mind right now. I guess I need to spend more time looking for relevant information.
I received UMich's e-mail and then an UPS package.
