Colleagues!

Hope you are doing great! Just wanted to ask if there is anyone here that is going to apply to UM’s International Arbitration LL.M. for the academic period 2017-2018.

If you are applying, I think this is a good way to keep in touch and share our experiences.

Also, wanted to ask the people that already applied if they have been contacted by UM regarding your application or have had any feedback from the school.

Regards,

Hey,
I am thinking about applying to UM next year. However I'm a bit scared that I'm not going to get in. Could you maybe tell me something about your resume? specially the grades?
Thank you so much!

Hi sinaryan!

Hope you are doing well. Regarding your queries, below some info I hope you find it useful (please bear in mind that I may be a little bit older than the usual applicants).

I graduated on 2010 in a Civil Law Jurisdiction, and I was in the top 10% of my class. On 2013 I got my first LL.M. in my home jurisdiction and was ranked among the top 5% of the class. On 2015 I got my second LL.M. in the US, and I got a 3.5 GPA.

Regarding professional experience I work mostly in matters related to arbitration, both commercial and investor state, but mostly as local counsel (assisting international firms with issues related to the laws of my home jurisdiction) and transactional oil & gas deals.

Again, hope this proves useful.
