UF vs NU LLM Tax

Hi all, I have been admitted to the LLM in International Taxation at UF and the LLM in Taxation at Northwestern. As an international student, I was wondering which choice would be better? I'm open to working at the big 4 (as that is realistically the best option).

Thank you in advance!

Congrats!
May I ask you that when did you apply to UF and when did you receive your acceptance?  Thank you!

Florida. Not only is Florida better for tax, it’s far cheaper. Only NYU has a tax program that is indisputably better than Florida’s. GT is usually seen as on par with Florida, or at most slightly above. NU would be below both of those.

Just curious: Across big law/big4 markets and/or the academia you mean?

Big 4 predominantly. Chances for big law are best coming from NYU, although not guaranteed (and probably unlikely).

For academia, NYU by a huge margin. But even coming from there, a master’s degree doesn’t serve as well as it did 25 years ago. Academia is increasingly looking for research doctorates in new hires.
