UCLA application 2014 - 2015

Hi everyone!

I am currently applying for the LLM at UCLA 2014 - 2015. I was wondering whether there was anyone out there that also is applying?

On the application it requires us to tick what other law schools we are applying to. I was wondering if we do this, would it cause a detriment to the application because they would know what other schools we are applying to.

Thanks!

Hey!

I have also applied today. I did mark the other universities I'm applying to, I have no idea if that is going to cause any harm to my application though.

Hello,
Did you get any e mail from UCLA after you submit your application? Because I did not and it has been weeks since I submitted mine. I do not know if I should be getting worried...

Nope, I applied on October 15th. And I haven't heard from them... so I think that you have now to worry about

Congrats for getting into Georgetown BTW!

I still haven't heard anything from UCLA :) Anybody has? I am thinking about sending them an e-mail. It has been a while since I submitted my application...

I checked the web site of UCLA, "coming soon" is written under online application status check header. I guess they haven't started completing the applications yet.

I havn't heard from them either. My guess is that they still don't have a status check site operational, so we will just have to wait....

Hello guys,

Did you apply directly on the UCLA website or on LSAC ? What do you think about LSAC ?

I personally applied via LSAC. I think it's pretty useful if you're applying to bunch of schools since it fills the application forms by itself and it's easier to provide only one copy of transcripts and letter of reccomendations. Even though you pay quite a lot for evaluation and etc.at firsr, I believe it's cheaper and easier since you pay only once for courier and in terms of time efficiency. I think Lsac should be used if a person applies more than 3 shools or so.

Thank you for your answer. Yeah I also think LSAC is more convenient when applying to a bunch of different schools !

Hi, I'd really like to apply to UCLA next year, but I have no idea what my chances are...

I'm studying in the Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris 1) in France, I'm currently in Master 1 International Law. The two first years I had an average of 10,5/20 and always passed my exams (I'd say I'm in the first quarter of my class since a lot of people fail). The third year was better (12/20) and my master is going well. I interned a couple of times, once in an American lawfirm and once in Paris, and I had different student jobs in Paris.

Do you think my profile fits with the requirements ?

Thanks for sharing your opinion

My application was completed on 18th January, 2014. Still no news. Has anyone received any decision yet?

I have received the confirmation email from Vic Telesino. They will be in touch with the admitted applicants from Feb through April. Can't wait.

By the way, as regards the "please tick other LS you are applying to" thing, I applied for another LS that required to do the same and clarified that it does not in any way prejudice your chances. I guess it is something they do for marketing/research purposes.
