U C Berkeley or Graduate Institute, Geneva for LLM

Hi guys,

I'm having a hard time deciding between these two colleges. my interest lies in international environmental law and I wish to pursue a career in international organisations.

I know Geneva would be a better option considering my line, but Berkeley on the other hand is a more prestigious institution.

Please leave your comments.
Thank you

Hi. I come from a very European background, but have been in the academic / international law world for quite a while now (finishing my PhD, have done my fair share of conferences etc.), and I think that the Graduate Institute is much more prestigious than Berkeley in this area. I would not say the same thing for other US universities, I would also not assume this is true in the US, but from a strictly European and IO perspective, I think it is better

Thank you. Could you please enlighten me on the job prospects for international students in Geneva? Is it a conducive environment for international candidates?
I am very impressed by the Program and am seriously considering to take it up.

I am not entirely sure I can be of detailed use, I think in general being in Geneva is useful, as you have visits to institutions and people from there coming to teach seminars etc.
