How long does it take schools like NYU, GT, UF, NW, Miami etc to give admission decisions. I have gotten confirmation from all of them that my application is complete.
Will these schools email or mail me? Has anyone been accepted to any tax llm programs and if so which ones and how were you notified?

I am a domestic student. 3.33 gpa at Vanderbilt, Law Review, 2 years tax related work experience, MBA in financial planning. B+ in estate tax, A- in fed tax at Vandy. (I give all that for your reference).
I went complete at Florida on Nov. 6. On Nov. 26, I received a letter of acceptance dated Nov. 20.
I went complete at NYU on Oct. 29 and NU on 11/7, havent heard anything yet.
Georgetown I should have been complete around 11/7 but they never even let me know if Im complete yet or not. Not too worried about it in light of UF.

Sdevante, you are blowing a hole in my theory that people more qualified than myself are unlikely to be applying to these programs because they are too busy working.

I may be an outlier, which is why I qualified my statement above. I went to law school specifically to do estate planning to round out my financial planning capabilities, and only upon going through OCI did I realize that I really need a tax llm to do estate planning.

Financial planner (mba) / estate planner (llm), seems like a great combo. Are there financial firms that do both or are you planning on operating your own one-stop shop?

OP, sorry to threadjack
When I was doing financial planning, the attorney we partnered with to do estate planning had his own firm doing investments, insurance, estate planning, etc. etc. That would be my goal, to get hooked up with a firm like that.
I am not sure how many of those are around though, so I am probably going to try to go the traditional law firm route for a few years to get that experience, and then either open my own shop or try to find an established finance firm to hook up with. We'll see how that all plays out.
What is everyone else's plans once they complete a tax llm?
