ILI

Hello A.Foda,

I am writing to tell you about a program that would fit your needs for summer study in the United States in preparation for further legal study in the US.

The International Law Institute (ILI) is hosting the 40th annual Orientation in the U.S. Legal System program this summer. The program is designed to expose foreign attorneys and LLM students to the American Legal System. Participants are introduced to the U.S. legal methods and process, central U.S. judicial doctrines and the basic research skills needed in the study of the U.S. law and for communicating with the U.S. colleagues and clients. There are also many opportunities to meet lawyers from the private and public sectors and see the practice and administration of the U.S. law through observations at court.

This summer program is aimed at improving the participants legal skills and understanding of the U.S. judicial system. It prepares those who are unfamiliar with American legal practice to do business and interact with the U.S. attorneys, and study law in the United States. This year, the program runs from July 19th to August 6th.

In addition to the Orientation to the U.S. Legal System seminar, ILI is also offering Introduction to Legal English and Legal Writing, a two-week long program intensive language course that provides a foundation in legal terminology and language use for individuals whose first language is not English. This seminar runs from July 5th to July 16th.

If you are interested in our programs, please go to www.ili.org for more information and to learn about the basic application process. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at LMintz@ili.org.

Thanks so much,
