Hi Tsis,
The email that someone had posted up here indicates that. All offers have been made. Other decisions have to be finalized - I suppose waitlist and rejections.

'' I wrote to SLS regaring my application, this is their answer:
Thank you for your email and your patience with our review process.
Please know that offers of admissions have been announced for the LLM
program in Corporate Governance & Practice. However, we are still
finalizing the LLM and SPILS applications. No final decision has been
made on your application. You are welcome to contact us again at the
end of this week to check for any updates to your file.
Sincerely,
Stanford Law School
I apply to the corporate governance llm.... I guess if decisions were annouced and i did not get anything from them it means that i will soon get the rejection.... Any comments? ''

So I havent been accepted ? Since I have not heard anything? What is this nuisance? some e-mail says they have concluded corporate law some says LST . Is it that difficult to send an e-mail about decisions?
Posted Apr 04, 2013 15:54
well then if decisions are out for the LST as well, then we are all watlisted or rejected.. its kind of better knowing this rather than not being informed at all...again good luck to us all waitlisted.!

rejected :(
Posted Apr 04, 2013 21:23
Cheer up Melek angel. We'll both apply next year and make sure we get through. Unless you're planning to take any other offer, of course :)
Posted Apr 04, 2013 21:24
hmm actually I have to go this year so I will take either chicago or berkeley. Is the second time application is an advantage ?
Posted Apr 05, 2013 03:13
Melek, sorry to hear that, but you have other amazing options! Did they send you a rejection mail or are yiu assuming that?

rejected as well...but its ok as I didnt even have the 2 years working experience which is highlighted as a requirement...I ll apply again next year......good luck to y all guys!!best of luck...
ps: I got one question...do you think that having already a LLM like for example in Business and Finance is more preferable than having one in IP...taking into account that one may apply for the same program (LST) to Stanford next year..according to me, being specialized in a area related to LST like Bus.& Fin will give me an extra advantage than havin already obtained a master in IP like for Berkeley...
thank you all.

I don't exactly understand what you mean. Are you saying that you will do an LLM now and then apply again for a second LLM with Stanford?
Some colleges don't allow you to apply for an LLM programme if you already have an LLM. Check on Stanford's site.
I'm also not sure if it's a good idea because if you're doing a Business LLM it appears that your focus is different as well. Your call.

yes I mean exactly this..I am thinking of doing an LLM in business and then reapply to Stanford LST program or Harvard (Jonathan Zitrain's LST course who's a visiting professor at Stanford as well).. I have not seen anywhere that Stanford does not accept one if he holds another US LLM..the only one I have seen so far is Yale...Stanford only says that its LLM s are for those with a primary law degree earned outside the US...is there anything that I m missing???
my goal is make my own start up tech company, so havin knowledge on business issues as well as Science- Technology will definitely contribute to my professional advancement n goals.....
anw, time will tell!thank you for the immediate response.

Posted Apr 05, 2013 10:02

Posted Apr 05, 2013 10:43

ı have sector-specific experience for 5 years but ı think my toefl 105 caused trouble.

ı got the rejection e-mail. So chicago or berkeley? I think berkeley seems to be stronger in IT law.
