Should a state school graduate apply for an ivy L.L.M.?

I will graduate from a tier two law school with a JD/PhD. My area of interest is health law/bioethics. I have been gently reminded that if I desire to teach in law school I should pursue a LLM from a top ten school. Do you think I would have a shot since I am not graduating from a top tier (albeit a well-respected program)? I would especially like to hear from anyone who has had an experience similar to mine.
Thank you.

I am an international applicant for LL.M program in USA. My LL.B degree is from a school which is not ranked within top 10 even in India. However, with my dialogue with the Professors and Attorneys in USA, I understand that "Top 10" phenomenon is not a sina qua non for a successful career in law school teaching.

Therefore, LL.M from good schools like Cornell, Georgetown, GWU, Vanderbilt, Washington University in St Louis, SMU, AU-WCL, CWRU, Penn State Univ, Temple Univ and several other similar schools is equally enriching.

All what I would like to comment is that JD degree from Teir-2 should not be a disheartening factor in taking decision for choosing a school to pursue LL.M program, if other things like tuition/scholarships are suitable.
