Requirements of LLM in USA

Hello everyone,
I am a law student from India. Currently I am pursuing BA LLB 5 years degree course from State University.
I want to apply for LLM in USA. After some research I noticed that standard application includes Statement of Purpose and TOEFL results.
I just wanted to know, do I really need to have big internships to get admitted in any US university?

It seems that most LLM students in the US that are from foreign countries, already have prior work experience and not just fresh out of law school. Based upon that, it might seem logical that to be competitive against people with strong legal experience, that at least some sort of big (prominent) internship might be helpful to get you into the best schools.

Of course I am sure there is someone here on the forum that will say they had a 2.0 GPA, no internship or work experience, and somehow were admitted to a Yala LLM program. I am sure miracles happen and unicorns exist.

Kindly keep in mind that while a miracle may have happened for some other person, think about the odds of it happening for you. If you just want an LLM from ANY US school then I am sure you can find one that will take you assuming you are breathing and can pass the minimum level required for TOEFL.

The better schools will have much a higher standard of admission. Since almost all the schools are extremely expensive, it makes sense to go the best school you can to get the best value for the money.
