Lack of patience won and I called NYU...they said all letters were sent either on 1 April or 4/5 April...so back to square 1...if sent by UPS we would have received by now...

I spoke to NYU. They said my letter was sent on Monday 4th April. They said that I should've received their letter by now and that they are re-sending my letter. I have asked them to forward my letter to my local address in New Jersey instead of back home in The Netherlands, so let's see...

Hey Palmer,
Thanks for your support about Fordham LS, how do you know it is well respected in NYC? Did you apply for it yourself?
It's just that, as I don't plan to work in the US, and considering Penn Law is not very well known here in France, I figured it won't make such a big difference...Plus, it is located in NYC which is a big asset.
And, to answer you question, I'm from Paris.
I'm from Paris and I

Didn't recieve response from NYU nor Columbia...anyone in the same situation????
I was told that there is consensus among all schools to have all their decisions by April 15th (today)
So let's see what happens....

Same here - no word from Columbia or NYU. Hope to hear something soon. This is bordering on ridiculous.

I am in the same situation than both of you (Marcia and Ryan). As NYU's deadline is May 6th, I think we will have to wait a little longer...although I wish it were today.

Marcia and Ryan.
Like you two, I have not received anything from Columbia or NYU until this very moment. I agree with you Ryan, it is nothing but ridiculous (and i would add: not very professional).
Luckily enough, i already decided that i am going to Oxford, so that the said universities' decisions stopped being of an importance to me.
In any event, i wish you two the best of luck and i hope that your waiting will eventually pay off for you.

Thanks Sean. I sent an acceptance to LSE, so I am just waiting out of curiosity as well, but still - this is pretty poor form. I received an email from NYU mid Feb. that stated I would receive a decision by April 1. At least Columbia had the decency (insert sarcasm here) not to get my hopes up by giving me a false date. Still no word from Cambridge, either, but I give the brits more leeway. Archaic "college" system and all.

Sean:
Have a great time in Oxford. I'm sure you will not regret your choice!

Cheer up Ryan. Once again, i hope that your wishes will come true. In case you have been having some qualms, let me assure you that LSE is a superb institution so that I am quite certain that you'll be fine under all circumstances.

Thank you Ryan.
Take care mate!!

Hey. I haven't received any news from NYU or Columbia either. I have admits from Harvard and Michigan, and I need these decisions before I decide where I am going. Its ridiculous!

Same thing for me, I have not received any responses from Columbia and NYU...I am a little bit desappointed.
It's difficult to behave like a top school when you are not able to deal with 1500 letters...It's just pathetic and disrespectful since some of the aplicants have not received any letter of admission yet which is fortunately not my case.

ashimsood...I would go to Harvard if I were you...at least they seem more professional: sent e-mails with admissions and were available to telephone queries for those that were denied or in waiting list.
I think schools are speculating just as we are with our admissions....

yes, but the big mistake of NYU was to give a deadline ( 1st of April)...they can all speculate but within the rules they establish...I think NYU is going to lose (has already lost) very good students that were hesitating...I understand them
