Quick query about references!

Hi all,

One of my references (Judge) has retired and has asked that provide the contact email address of his former clerk. The reference is still from the judge (on Supreme court letterhead signed by him etc) but to register it will be his clerks email.

Is this still fine? He isn't really a computer whiz and has asked that we do it this way and just wanted to know if this will effect the reference at all.

Has anyone else done this previously? (applying to HLS and YLS).

I think this should be fine - as long as it's signed by the judge - but I've not done it myself or heard stories one way or the other. Safest bet would be to ask the admissions teams at the schools you're applying to.
