Hi all,
I am new to this board so please forgive me for asking a question that may have been answered before. I've tried my best to look up the answer on this place but it seems like there's so much information to sift through that my eyes are getting really tired so i hope you will put up with me.
i was wondering if it is possible to do a LLM in the UK or another common law jurisdiction and then do a LLM in the US? i've read on some US law school websites that they generally only take LLB students but i have recently read on this forum of ppl going to oxford to do a masters (the BCL i assume) and then going to harvard for the LLM. is this unusual or quite common?

the reason i ask this is because i am graduating from the university of bristol (hopefully with a 2:1) and would like to pursue a postgraduate law degree in the US. however from what i have read, a first is required at the top law schools. therefore would it be wise of me to do a Masters of Jurisprudence at the University of Sydney (I am an Aussie citizen and my main area of interest is in jurisprudence and legal theory) and after that apply to do a LLM in comparative constitutional law at Harvard Law School?

I am quite confused with this whole LLM thing and don't have a slightest clue as to what to do (my personal tutor is still on vacation!). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
