Hey everyone.
Well, basically I've applied for LLM at both schools and believe my chances are pretty good at getting in both.
However, I am not fully certain which one I would choose eventually, and input would be much appreciated, so these are the factors to take into consideration:
-I understand Penn is better ranked than Cornell. Does this translate into more prestige also?
- My interest is in the field of Constitutional (Public and Public Policy Law, etc) which program do you believe would better suit me?
- I am a 23 year old hispanic woman, and would be living alone in the city of the University I chose. This has become a concern because I have heard that Philadelphia is a VERY dangerous city, and though I come from Bogotá, Colombia someone explained to me that unlike Bogotá, where you can live your whole life without crime, violence... getting in your way, in Philadelphia it's basically a problem of the whole city.
This is why I was very much inclined to go to Ithaca, which I believe is more quaint and SAFE, but is it really worth it??
Do my safety concerns outweigh the raking advantage of Penn over Cornell?
do you believe either degree would be pretty much the same when I return to my country?
Thank you very much in advance.
Penn or Cornell?

Philly is hardly a cup of tea, but it's also not Bagdad. People manage to multiply Philadelphia's bad press, but none of the LLM'ers this year have had any trouble in the city, and we are all through the place (center city, university city)
Penn has a good faculty regarding constitutional law, but I tend to believe that Cornell could be better. There are 2 colombian guys that are here in the program and can provide you with more information. Regarding to city, Philadelphia > Ithaca (restaurant, Kimmel Center, Sports, museums, concerts, shopping, Atlantic City, etc.)
Hope it helps.
