Just accepted Columbia and rejected NYU. Good luck to those still waiting!

Hi London-Cam

To which program did you apply at NYU?

Yes, I tried to. No go. They understand my predicament, but can't expedite decisions.

So not accommodating .. I have heard that other schools are better about this process. I only applied to NYU (no other school) on a whim so I have no comparison to make, but based on what I've heard, this process fails in comparison to others.

I have been accepted to Gtown and NYU and am waiting to hear from UF. I emailed UF ~2 weeks ago letting them know that I had to let Georgetown know by April 1. They told me my application was ready for review by the committee and they anticipated a decision within 2 weeks. I'm really not too pleased with that.

I'm wondering when NYU is going to start releasing rejection letters. Did anyone get rejected from a LLM (except for the tax llm which follows a different path) ?

How is Tax LLM path different? I applied to Domestic Tax and have not heard anything.

Although I really wanted to hear back from NYU, I just made the first deposit to Georgetown. I really liked the admission process of Georgetown and I am confident that they will "treat us well" there. This is not my impression of UChicago, for instance. I just disliked those "please do not answer my e-mail", or "you are not expected to send me e-mails".

Traditional LLM. At this stage, I would rather prefer to receive a rejection letter instead of continue waiting for an answer.
