I'm considering a career shift. I really enjoyed T&E in law school and my estate planning friends' careers seem significantly more interesting than mine.
I went to Stetson. I graduated in the top 5%. I was on Law Review. I also received book awards in Research and Writing, Criminal Law, Contracts, and Evidence. I was in the Honors program, chosen for Who's Who Among American Law Students, and received various awards from my law school. I performed well in T&E (an A), but did not take any other tax specific classes.
I have been working as a Public Defender for the past year, but also have experience as a Federal Judicial Intern, State Court Judicial Intern, and Law Clerk. Additionally, I had a career before law school, but it was completely unrelated to anything tax/law.
Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

You wont find too much info here. I noticed the specifics of this forum - everybody is very active until he gets admitted. After that most people dont get back here. Until October this forum wont get very active. Most people will get here in winter and spring to share their excitement about being admitted or rejected.
I was admitted to NYU Tax LLM. Your academic record is better than mine. So you have a good chance. But admissions are unpredictable so nobody knows. In all of the top 3 tax programs people are very talented. You definitely should try!
