I have the same dilemma because my offers from NYU and Columbia have identical 50% tuition fee waivers. I want a future career in a big law firm doing international arbitration. I would appreciate your thoughts/insights in making a decision on which school to go to.

What your partner said is wrong. But that's not to wax eloquent on either of the two job fairs.

CLS is far more acclaimed than NYU though the 50% award may be a deciding factor depending on your resources and especially if you choose to do the tax program

No scholarship in Columbia vs. NYU Corporate w/ 45,000 scholarship... you would all still go to Columbia, right? I believe its the better choice, but I just need the final push to make my decision before April 1. Thanks!!

Does anyone know the deadline for accepting Columbia's offer? I also applied for financial aid and was told that after I receive the decision on financial aid I will be given an additional deadline to accept/decline. I was admitted in Early Review, but still no financial aid decision... is that weird and should I be worried? Regardless of that - what's the normal deadline?

Congratulations on the scholarship and fee waiver!! Just curious, I sent an e-mail to CLS referring to the scholarship from NYU and they sent that as I will deal with financial law for the rest of my life, I will earn gallons of money whereas, those in int'll human rights public policy and similar fields won't. Did you refer to areas as such in your app?

I also asked CLS for info on financial aid (referring to the grant from NYU), and I was told that they will do everything they can to have an answer before the date I have to confirm to NYU (1st of April). I am a bit worried though because the 1st is coming, don't know whether I should contact them again or wait or ... ?

Hi - I think you can contact them, they revert fairly quickly. I asked for additional financial assistance as well seeing the scholarship from NYU, they said they are allocating their sources to human rights, public policy/public interest LLM's if this helps

just curious, are you referring to practice or academic-wise? Since I will keep on being a professional, I am really not keen on seeing a scenario where I will not be admitted to a law firm because I am from NYU but from Columbia
