I just know that it is one of the best and only opportunities for LL.Ms to find a job in the States. It is held every year in New York somewhere at the end January. We will all probably meet there. :))) However, I am speaking about the New York job fair and it is not an NYU but general event.

The january job fair groups LLms in two days depending on the universities they attend to: Harvard, yale, Columbia, Standford and Chicago are on the same day; NYU, Georgetown and some others are the following day. It a fantastic oopportunity to do many interviews since all the prospective employers are there...

As an NYU LLM who had several friends attend the fair (and many got jobs), i can attest that it is a great opportunity.. . . .BUT most of the firms are regarding jobs back in your home country. Thus almost all the non-tax LLMs got offers in their home countries (but many from US firms). IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR WORK IN THE US, YOU WILL NEED TO START LOOKING NOW. This is especially the case in difficult markets like NY, CA and DC -- which are the primary ones that most foreigners go to (but as someone suggested in another post -- several other states, allows foreign LLMs to sit for the bar).
