Has any International Tax LLM Candidate been awarded a scholarship yet?

Is it by implication that if one received a scholarship like the Deans Graduate Award, that they were unsuccessful for the Hauser?

I think so. But I also think based on discussions I've read from previous years that it is possible to be bumped up from a Dean's Graduate Award to a Vanderbilt Scholarship (if some people with Vanderbilts turn down their offers).

Does any one else agree? Also does any one think it would be worth emailing NYU to find out how likely this bump up scenario is?

I just randomly checked now my email whether there is something on the scholarships so I can share it with you and it may help you to make your own decisions and...as an absolute surprise I found an email in my spam that I was awarded the Hauser Scholarship.

I will maybe reject the offer because I got accepted to Harvard and so I was thinking I wont take the NYU offer anyway. But with the Hauser Im not sure..i know it sounds like an "issue" that everyone would like to have but I would still be happy If you would be so kind and share your thoughts on that...NYU with Hauser or Harvard with financial aid but loan as well...

I wanted to share this with you so you know that the decisions are out there already and I wish the best of luck to all of you.

Anyone still waiting to hear about admission? Feeling a bit despondent about not having heard anything whilst NYU is giving scholarship money to those who have already been admitted.

I sent a message to NYU last week letting them know that I had other offers with upcoming deadlines, and their response was along the lines of: we make decisions all the way up until early May, if you have to make a decision before then, there's nothing we can do.

Anyway, I pretty much made up my mind about going to Yale (even though it really costs me - literally - to turn down a full tuition waiver...).

Will we receive emails about financial aid/scholarship even if it’s a rejection?

I'm still waiting to hear back as well. I'm a bit confused because they make decisions up until early May yet admitted students have received an email stating they need to accept their place by mid-April.

I think this is because they don't operate a waitlist. They wait for decisions to be made by the first round of people who they admit, and then based on the number that either accept or decline their offers, they admit x number of those people who are "still waiting to hear."

Oh ok, that makes sense! It's been excruciating waiting to hear back.

Same here! I wrote them last Friday requesting the expedited review of my application since I already have another offers and enrollment deadlines around the corner, but I didn´t receive any response from them until now.

Have any of you heard about any similar situation that ended up with a positive admission decision from them??

Then I hope to hear anything from them soon. I did the same thing with Columbia and they gave me my admission offer the next day also, but NYU remains silent. Fingers crossed!!
