NYU LL.M. Applicants 2022-2023

V-a-nMan

I'm getting my application together for NYU and I wonder if other people are doing the same.

I guess we have some time but I want to make sure everything is in order well before December.

I'm also working on my application. However, the university that I graduated does not rank students. I read on the nyu website that if this is the case, then the school must send a declaration attesting this fact. I am also supposed to calculate my rank on my own. Is anyone in the same situation or underwent a similar experience?

Hello,

I am thinking of applying for NYU LLM this year. Is anyone applying for financial aid, and do you know what are the chances of having the tuition fee reduced?

Hey there, yes, my university does not rank its students either. I just asked them for a document attesting to that fact that was sent off to LSAC along with my transcripts and diplomas. Good luck!

Is this super mandatory? I know students from my school who have applied and got admitted to NYU so I do presume they will know my university doesn't issue this statement, also its a huge pain to get ANYTHING from my uni

I have applied and been accepted last year and I didn't submit such declaration. I have just checked the box on the application form and this was enough.

Hi everyone! Just wondering if anyone (probably those who are more diligent than I am - I submitted my application a few minutes before the deadline...) received an email confirming completion of application from the school and how long it took from when the school  received law school reports from LSAC. I know it may not mean much as I expect that a lot of people applied on the last day but just wanted to know what to look out for in what would be an arduous wait. Thanks in advance!

I applied via LSAC on 14 Dec and got an email notifying the completion from the school on 16 Dec!

Thanks so much! Just to confirm, I understand the completion email is the second email that you get after the one acknowledging application and providing ID/password for NYU applicant status check. Is this correct?

That's right. I got the acknowledgement (with online checker info provided) on 15th Dec and then the completion email on 16th Dec, to be precise.

Hi all! I applied on the 20th and received the first email from NYU (with login details etc) on the 21st. I still haven't received the second info saying that my application has been completed. Anyone else in the same position?

Also, my online tracker doesn't indicate whether my personal statement was received or not. It only mentions the LoRs, toefl score and my transcripts. Does anyone's tracker mention their personal statement? Please help!

Same here. Only received the first email with status check credentials on Dec. 20 and haven't received a completion email yet. Re personal statement, I think this has been included as part of the online application form.

It takes about 2 weeks for them to receive all the required documents and complete the checklist provided on your application status. But I applied 2 months ago, all my documents have been received by NYU and I still haven’t heard anything from them.. I guess the rolling application process starts in the month of January for Law students, because i Know a couple for friends who’ve got their acceptance letter from Tandon Schhoo of engineering (NYU) in December only.

Hey!

Do your online checkers (under application status) ready only the term, year, degree and program time?

There is no indication that my application is under review or anything to that effect. I have already received both the acknowledgment and completion emails from NYU though.

Thanks & All the best!

Yes, that's exactly what's under "Application Status".

I applied just before the deadline on 19th December and still haven't received the completion email telling me the app has been forwarded to the review process. Has anyone else who applied around the 19th/20th received that email?
