I'm getting my application together for NYU and I wonder if other people are doing the same.

I guess we have some time but I want to make sure everything is in order well before December.

I read on the nyu website that if this is the case, then the school must send a declaration attesting this fact. I am also supposed to calculate my rank on my own. Is this super mandatory? I know students from my school who have applied and got admitted to NYU so I do presume they will know my university doesn't issue this statement, also its a huge pain to get ANYTHING from my uni

Hey there, yes, my university does not rank its students either. I just asked them for a document attesting to that fact that was sent off to LSAC along with my transcripts and diplomas. Good luck!

I have applied and been accepted last year and I didn't submit such declaration. I have just checked the box on the application form and this was enough.

I applied via LSAC on 14 Dec and got an email notifying the completion from the school on 16 Dec!

That's right. I got the acknowledgement (with online checker info provided) on 15th Dec and then the completion email on 16th Dec, to be precise.

Also, my online tracker doesn't indicate whether my personal statement was received or not. It only mentions the LoRs, toefl score and my transcripts. Does anyone's tracker mention their personal statement? Please help!

It takes about 2 weeks for them to receive all the required documents and complete the checklist provided on your application status. But I applied 2 months ago, all my documents have been received by NYU and I still haven’t heard anything from them.. I guess the rolling application process starts in the month of January for Law students, because i Know a couple for friends who’ve got their acceptance letter from Tandon Schhoo of engineering (NYU) in December only.

There is no indication that my application is under review or anything to that effect. I have already received both the acknowledgment and completion emails from NYU though.
